Have you ever wished to reach the level of those who have surpassed you in the way of Allah?
have you ever longed to be among those who are far ahead of you in their connection with Allah?
those who are the high achievers in the real sense of the word… doing great things for Allah and leading a most productive life…
Have you ever wondered if it could ever be possible for you to achieve that level of worship and struggle?
What if I tell you that you can do it in just one minute?!! Yes I was also astonished when I came to know of this Hadith a few days back in which our beloved Prophet (s.a.w) has told us about a seemingly small deed which can create this amazing miracle in our lives if we really stick to it and never stop doing it no matter what!
Maybe you are already acting on it but it is quite possible that like me you were also unaware of the grand reward that has been promised for this tiny little deed which takes only one minute but few people are regular in it and maybe even fewer would be doing it on a conscious level… So here is the gist of that “life changing” Hadith:
Abu Huraira (r.a.) reported that the Prophet (s.a.w) said… should I tell you a deed that if you do it then you will reach those who are ahead of you in righteousness… and you will become better than those who are at your present level… and no one would be able to catch up with you except if they also do what you do… and that is to glorify Allah’s perfection (saying SubhanAllah) after every salah 33 times, to praise him (Alhamdulillah) 33 times and to proclaim Allah’s greatness (Allahu Akbar) 33 times and to complete the hundred say once : La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu lahul mulk wa lahul hamd wa huwa ala kulli shai’in qadeer.
The amazing thing about this Hadith is that it makes me wonder how can these words put me on the level of the high achievers? After all there is no action involved…
After some contemplation the following answers came to my mind:
1- saying these words consistently without a break… proves that you are really serious about making a strong connection with Allah and of serving him in the best way…
2- when you say these words while pondering upon their meaning then slowly and gradually it will take effect on your heart and soul and thus your whole attitude and character will become positive and productive.
3- this positive thinking will generate all the energy and motivation you need to make real progress both in your understanding, knowledge and good deeds.
4- when you focus on success then you will be able to achieve it with the help and guidance from Allah.
P.S. there can be many other points too if we think about it… so do share with me and the other readers if you can find more ideas to benefit from this Hadith… in-sha-Allah
